Baton Rouge-based John H. Carter Company continues to grow its footprint in the Capital Region.
The company, a leading provider of products, services, and support for industrial, commercial, and municipal customers, has signed a lease for approximately 10,000 square feet of additional space at Barringer Foreman Tech Park. This 28-acre business community on Airline Highway will accommodate the company’s rapidly expanding Machinery and Engine Solutions team, which specializes in reliability solutions, machinery health, vibration analysis, and motor efficiency optimization.
Todd Pevey of St. John Properties represented the landlord in the transaction. This marks the company’s fifth expansion with St. John Properties.
Since its initial 13,500-square-foot lease for its Process Solutions Group in 2013, John H. Carter Company has steadily grown its presence, expertise, and capabilities.
With this latest expansion, the company now occupies approximately 45,900 square feet at Barringer Foreman Tech Park, encompassing office space, meeting rooms, factory acceptance testing, panel fabrication, and engineering operations.

The company expects to move into the additional space in the second quarter of this year, initially housing 40 employees, with plans to expand as it continues growing its portfolio of value-added products and services.
John H. Carter Company has been actively investing in its expansion. In June, it acquired a multi-tenant industrial warehouse/office property in Gonzales for $750,000. Shortly after, it purchased an adjacent industrial property on Hwy 30 in Geismar for $1.65 million to grow its Pumps and Water Solutions business. Additionally, the company is developing a new 250,000+ square-foot production and office facility on its 37-acre site on Highway 44 in Gonzales.
